The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Interconnection Authority participated two days ago in the 67th meeting of the Advisory and Regulatory Committee for the GCC Interconnection, attended by the CEO of the GCC Interconnection Authority, Eng. Ahmed Al-Ibrahim, representatives of the GCC states, and the GCC General Secretariat represented by the Human and Environment Affairs Sector - Energy Department, in Kuwait.

The meeting reviewed a number of topics, most notably the performance and activities report of the GCC Interconnection Authority, and the support provided by the interconnection system to the electrical grids of the GCC states, which contributed to enhancing the reliability and stability of the GCC electrical system. Additionally, key operational events and measures taken to ensure service continuity were reviewed, along with updates on expansion projects of the GCC interconnection network and the latest related developments.

At the conclusion of its meeting, the committee stressed the importance of continuing to develop the GCC interconnection system and enhancing its operational readiness and reliability, thereby supporting the continuity of energy security for the GCC states.
