Jordan buys 60,000 tons of barley feed in international tender
European traders said that Jordan's state grain buyer purchased about 60,000 tons of barley feed in an international tender that closed on Wednesday.
The traders added that the seller was Louis Dreyfus Commodities, with the barley sold at $252.6 per ton including cost and freight, for shipment in the first half of September.
The traders noted that eight trading companies participated in the tender, with the other seven companies and their offers in dollars per ton as follows: Bunge $259.69/$261.69, CHS $255.38, Cargill $263.66, Al Ghurair $353.9, Olam $258, Ameropa $255.45, and COFCO $257.5, all including cost and freight, according to Reuters.
These reports reflect traders' assessments, and more price and volume estimates may be released later.
The traders said that Jordan's state grain buyer is expected to issue a new tender within two weeks.
