Launch of Mobile Unit Tours for Honey Sorting and Packaging in Tabuk
The branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in Tabuk yesterday launched tours of the mobile unit for sorting and packaging honey in tourist sites and natural pastures in the governorates and villages of the region, aimed at providing honey analysis, sorting and packaging services to beekeepers according to the latest practices, along with guidance and awareness through experts specialized in beekeeping.
The Director General of the branch, Eng. Amjad Thallab, explained that the tours will cover the outskirts of Tabuk city and the governorates of Duba, Al Wajh, and Umluj, noting that the unit provides honey processing, sorting, and packaging services according to Saudi standard specifications, which enhances product quality and increases its competitiveness in markets.
He stressed that the initiative comes as part of the ministry's efforts to develop the beekeeping and honey production sector, improve the efficiency of services provided to beekeepers, and enhance the added value of their products, enabling them to make optimal use of production seasons, and contributing to supporting sustainable agricultural development and achieving the agricultural sector's targets.
