Launch of Multiple-Entry Umrah Visa with One-Year Validity and Stay of Up to 90 Days

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah revealed the launch of the multiple-entry Umrah visa, which enables its holder to enter the Kingdom repeatedly over a full year (365 days) from the date of issuance, with a total stay period of up to 90 days.

This step comes within the framework of the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to facilitate the performance of Umrah rituals and expand the base of beneficiaries of the services provided.

The Ministry stated that the total stay period is calculated cumulatively, not exceeding 90 days in total across multiple visits during the visa's validity, according to the approved regulations.

The Ministry explained that benefiting from the visa requires purchasing a service package from one of the accredited service providers in the 'Nusuk' system for each visit, provided that the package duration does not exceed the remaining available days in the visa, while adhering to the regulations governing the durations of programs and services provided to Umrah performers.

The Ministry added – in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency – that entry to the Kingdom under the visa is linked to issuing an Umrah permit via the 'Nusuk' application before arrival, aligning the permit date with the approved package dates, in addition to meeting travel and entry eligibility requirements.

It stated that the first visit begins with purchasing a service package through one of the package providers available in the 'Nusuk' system, then submitting a visa issuance request and completing its processing with the relevant authorities, verifying travel eligibility before the beneficiary boards the plane, up to recording entry data upon arrival and updating it upon departure, including calculating the remaining stay period.

As for subsequent visits, the visa holder purchases a new package from one of the accredited service providers, issues an Umrah permit via the 'Nusuk' application, then completes the verification procedures for meeting entry requirements and travel eligibility, before recording entry and exit data and updating the remaining balance of the stay period.

The Ministry pointed out that the visa status will be deactivated after each departure from the Kingdom, and will be reactivated for the next visit after fulfilling the regulatory requirements. It will also not be activated for entry during the Hajj season, starting from the 1st of Dhul Qa'dah until the 13th of Dhul Hijjah.

The Ministry emphasized that the new visa grants Umrah performers greater flexibility in organizing their visits, and also contributes to linking digital and operational services with the travel itinerary.
