Saudi Fruit Prices See Mixed Increases in June
The average prices bulletin of goods and services, issued by the General Authority for Statistics, revealed a notable disparity in fruit prices in Saudi markets for June 2026, with prices rising for 10 types of fruits while other types ranged between a slight decline and relative stability.
Fruit Prices in Saudi Arabia
According to the statistics, Philippine shrabatly bananas topped the list of high fruit prices with a monthly increase of 9%, recording a kilo price of 7.1 riyals in June compared to 6.6 riyals in May. They were followed by American red apples, which rose by 8% to 9.9 riyals compared to 9.2 riyals in the previous month, while yellow apples rose by 5% to 9.6 riyals compared to 9.1 riyals in the previous month.
Citrus, Mango Rise, Lemon Declines
The price of Pakistani mangoes rose by 5% during June to 13.2 riyals compared to 12.5 riyals in the previous month. Egyptian Abu Sirra oranges and Pakistani tangerines increased by 7.7% and 7.5%, respectively, while Central African lemons decreased by 6.6% to 11.2 riyals compared to 12 riyals a month earlier.

In this context, the price of local watermelon rose by 5.7% to 3.7 riyals per kilo in June compared to 3.5 riyals in May, while the price of cantaloupe decreased by approximately 7% to 4.4 riyals compared to 4.7 riyals in the previous month. The price of Indian pomegranates increased by 7.5% to 19.4 riyals per kilo.
Grape Decline, Figs and Dates Stable
The average prices bulletin for June indicated a decrease in the price of local grapes during the month by 11.2%, recording 16.1 riyals compared to 18.1 riyals in the previous month. Lebanese grapes also declined by 12.1% to 16.3 riyals per kilo compared to 18.5 riyals in May. The price of Lebanese peaches decreased by 6% to 16.1 riyals, and Bukhara plums fell by 4.6% to 14.9 riyals. In a related context, the price of local figs stabilized at 19.3 riyals per kilo, fresh dates at 15 riyals per kilo, and Ikhlas makhnooz dates at 15.6 riyals per kilo.
