Saudi National Bank's profit rises 7.6% to 6.6 billion in Q2
The net profit of Saudi National Bank, the largest Saudi bank by assets, rose 7.6% in the second quarter of 2026 to about 6.6 billion riyals, compared to about 6.1 billion riyals in the second quarter of 2025.
The bank's profits rose 7% in the first half to exceed 13 billion riyals.
The bank said in a statement on Tadawul today (Tuesday) that the increase in profits in the second quarter was due to a rise in total operating income by 11.3% to 10.6 billion riyals, driven by an 11.4% increase in net income from financing and investments, as well as a 34% increase in total gains/investment income, and a 3.3% increase in net foreign currency exchange income.
It pointed to a 1.6% increase in income from financing and investments to 15.4 billion riyals, due to a 1.3% rise in income from the financing portfolio and a 2.8% rise in income from the investment portfolio, while the net expected credit loss provision increased by 251.8%.
The statement noted that the bank's profits in the first half of this year rose to 13.03 billion riyals, a growth of 7%, compared to profits of 12.16 billion riyals achieved in the same period of 2025.
In a related context, the board of directors of Saudi National Bank decided to distribute cash dividends to shareholders at 11.5% of capital (equivalent to 1.15 riyals per share after deducting zakat) for the first half of 2026.
The bank said the total distributed dividends amount to 6.9 billion riyals for 6 billion shares, adding that the eligibility date for dividends is July 28, 2026, for shareholders registered in the company's shareholder register at the Securities Depository Center at the end of the second trading day following the record date, while the distribution date is August 10.
