The main Saudi stock market index closed higher on Wednesday, rising by 15.77 points to reach 10,720.28 points, with trading volume amounting to 3.3 billion riyals.

The daily economic bulletin of the Saudi Press Agency indicated that the volume of traded shares reached 163 million shares, with shares of 112 companies increasing in value, compared to a decline in shares of 140 companies.

The report stated that shares of Abu Maati, Sadaq, Mutakamila, Petro Rabigh, and Tiba'a wa Taghlif were the top gainers during the session, while shares of Electrical Industries, Naseej, Al Ittihad, Lifa, and Thimar topped the list of decliners, with the percentage changes ranging between 7.89% and 6.42%.

In the same context, shares of Americana, Petro Rabigh, Maharah, Electrical Industries, and Saudi Aramco were among the most active in terms of volume, while shares of Rasan, Al Rajhi, Al Ahli, Saudi Aramco, and Petro Rabigh topped the list of most active by value.

Meanwhile, the parallel market index (Nomu) ended its trading today down by 342.48 points to reach 22,239.31 points, with trading volume of 15 million riyals and a volume of traded shares exceeding 2.1 million shares.
