Doha, February 08 /QNA/ - United Development Company (a Qatari public shareholding company) announced that it recorded net profits of 431 million riyals during 2025, compared to net profit of 426 million riyals during 2024, representing an increase in profits of 1.17 percent.

The company, which is the master developer of The Pearl Island and Gewan Island, indicated that earnings per share reached 0.122 riyals for 2025, compared to 0.12 riyals for the previous year.

It explained that these financial results reflected a resilient financial and operational performance, supported by diversified income sources, asset quality, and disciplined execution across its diverse project portfolio. The Board of Directors recommended a cash dividend distribution of 5.5 percent, affirming the company's commitment to achieving sustainable and balanced returns for its shareholders.

Commenting on these results, Mr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Hammadi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of United Development Company, said: "The year 2025 marked a pivotal milestone in the company's journey, as it managed to achieve stable results despite global challenges. This performance reflects a clear strategic focus on creating long-term value aligned with the national urban development priorities in the State of Qatar."

For his part, Mr. Yasser Salah Al-Jaida, CEO of United Development Company, said: "2025 was a year of execution excellence, as we focused on operational excellence, enhancing efficiency, improving community experience, and embedding sustainability as a driver of performance. This was reflected in clear indicators, including higher occupancy rates, stable leasing demand, increased visitor numbers, and achieving a customer satisfaction rate of 92 percent."

A company statement reported that, operationally and commercially, The Pearl Island and Gewan Island received 54 million visitors during 2025, reflecting the attractiveness of these destinations and the reliability of the operational platforms the company relies on. The company also achieved strong occupancy rates in the retail sector, reaching 84 percent on The Pearl Island and 99 percent on Gewan Island, along with leasing 14,000 square meters of retail space and selling more than 100 residential units, confirming sustained demand across its project portfolio.

It also achieved tangible results in sustainability, including saving 1.7 billion kilowatt-hours of energy, avoiding 950 million kilograms of carbon dioxide emissions, and achieving a recycling rate of 37 percent. These accomplishments received international recognition through prestigious awards in the fields of sustainability, safety, and innovation.

United Development Company was established in 1999 and listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange in June 2003. It has an authorized capital of 3.5 billion riyals and total assets of 18.6 billion riyals.
