The Quality of Life Program, one of the programs to achieve Saudi Vision 2030, highlighted in its annual report for 2025 the most prominent achievements across various sectors, confirming notable progress in implementing transformative initiatives and projects that enhance the quality of life for all residents of the Kingdom.

The report stated that the program's contribution to the gross domestic product reached 78 billion riyals, exceeding the target of 77.1 billion riyals. Non-government investment recorded 21.8 billion riyals, and the percentage of local content rose to 44%, surpassing the target of 37%. Some 387,000 new jobs were created by the end of the year, with an annual increase of 6.35%.

International Initiatives and Support for Urban Identity

The report noted the launch of the Global Quality of Life Index, which more than 90 cities from 35 countries have joined, and it was included in the strategic plan of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme, enhancing the Kingdom's global leadership presence.

It added that the urban design sector progressed through the Saudi Architecture Map initiative launched by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, comprising 19 architectural styles inspired by the Kingdom's characteristics. Citizen satisfaction with municipal services rose to 85%, exceeding the target of 74%.

Growth in Tourism, Entertainment, and Culture

In the same context, the tourism sector received more than 32 million domestic and international tourists during the Saudi Summer season, a growth rate of 26% compared to the previous season, and tourism spending exceeded 53.2 billion riyals, growing by 15%. The Kingdom ranked first globally in the growth of international tourist revenues during the first quarter of 2025 compared to 2019, and achieved a growth of 102% in the number of international tourists.

The entertainment sector expanded to include 954 licensed venues and 40 entertainment events, with training programs benefiting more than 42,000 people in 10 cities, incubating 33 startups, and supporting 110 establishments.

It is noteworthy that the cultural sector witnessed the inauguration of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Global Center for Arabic Calligraphy and the opening of the Red Sea Museum in Jeddah. The number of cultural event days reached 6,314 days, and the target of 232 accessible national heritage sites was achieved.

Progress in Sports and Security

In sports, the percentage of adults engaging in physical activity rose to 59.1%, exceeding the target of 55%. More than 230,000 participants benefited from the Sports for All platform, which includes more than 9,000 sports groups.

In the security sector, the Unified Security Operations Center (911) was launched in Medina, becoming the fourth in the Kingdom and unifying the work of 28 operations rooms.

What was achieved in 2025 reflects continued progress in achieving the targets of the Quality of Life Program and solidifying the Kingdom's position as a global model in urban development, improving quality of life, and promoting sustainable development in line with Vision 2030.
