The Saudi Society for Fine Arts launched the activities of the 'Our Summer... Art' program by hosting a workshop titled 'How Does Color Think?' in Riyadh, presented by fine artist Nawal Al Ajmi, in an experience that combined philosophical discourse and practical application.

The workshop saw the attendance of the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Society, Dr. Hanaa Al Shibli, who welcomed the trainer and the participating male and female fine artists, in addition to the attendance of the Executive Director of the Society, Ms. Juhair Al Bukhit.

The workshop is part of the 'Our Summer... Art' program, which stems from the Society's cultural project, implemented in all its branches across various regions and governorates of the Kingdom, aiming to develop fine arts knowledge, enhance visual culture, and enrich creative experiences through specialized art workshops that contribute to developing the tools of professional artists, in addition to providing opportunities for emerging talents to develop their skills and discover their abilities.

During the workshop, artist Nawal Al Ajmi presented an intellectual approach stemming from the question: 'How does color think?', exploring color from a fine arts and philosophical perspective, discussing the effect of light, color values, relationships between colors, mass, and rhythm, and the role of these elements in building the painting and formulating its meaning, thereby enhancing the artist's ability to make more conscious artistic decisions.

The workshop included practical applications aimed at translating theoretical concepts into artistic practices, through visual experiences focused on building the painting through color relationships and pre-planning, rather than treating color merely as an aesthetic element.

The Saudi Society for Fine Arts affirmed the continued implementation of a series of free practical and theoretical workshops for its members in its various branches across regions and governorates, supported by the Ministry of Culture and through community partnerships with a number of supporting entities, within the framework of its mission to support the fine arts movement, develop creative capacities, and provide learning and development opportunities, in line with the goals of Vision 2030 in developing the cultural sector and enhancing the presence of visual arts in the Kingdom.
