(CNN)-- Lebanon's Permanent Military Court approved a request to lift the travel ban on artist Fadel Shaker on Wednesday, according to the National News Agency, a week after his release on bail.
Fadel recently asked his fans and followers on social media to understand his health and family situation and give him a 'short opportunity' to recover and check on his family, in his first comment after the Lebanese Permanent Military Court's decision to release him.
Fadel said in a post shared on his official social media accounts: 'Today, new lines of freedom were written for me.' He expressed gratitude to everyone who stood by him and supported him in his case.
Fadel Shaker is scheduled to appear before Lebanon's Permanent Military Court on August 5 for the resumption of his trial, in a session postponed from June 30, before the decision to release him.
