The System for Entertainment and Supporting Activities, approved by the Council of Ministers on June 16, 2026, represents a pivotal regulatory step in developing the entertainment sector ecosystem in the Kingdom. It aims to regulate and develop entertainment and supporting activities, improve their quality, thereby enhancing the sector's growth and sustainability, increasing its investment attractiveness, and improving the quality of services provided to beneficiaries, in line with the targets of Saudi Vision 2030. The system establishes a comprehensive regulatory framework for practicing entertainment and supporting activities by organizing licensing procedures and setting standards, conditions, and controls necessary for practicing these activities, contributing to higher operational efficiency, enhanced compliance, and achieving higher levels of quality in the services and entertainment experiences provided. The system promotes transparency, clarity of roles, rights, and obligations among all relevant parties. It grants the General Entertainment Authority the necessary regulatory and supervisory powers to oversee entertainment and supporting activities, verify compliance with approved standards, controls, and requirements through monitoring, inspection, and violation enforcement, supporting the construction of a more efficient and stable regulatory environment.
