Al-Baha, 06 Safar 1448 AH, corresponding to 20 July 2026 AD, SPA -- The Mayor of Al-Baha Region, Chairman of the Executive Committee for Al-Baha Summer, Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Sawat, inspected the readiness of the main event sites for Al-Baha Summer 2026, by reviewing the latest preparations for the launch of the 18th Honey Festival, the "Maraba" project, and the Festival of Productive Families and Artisans. During his tour, he examined the final preparations for the 18th International Honey Festival, which is held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Hussam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Baha Region, from July 26 to August 9, 2026, as part of the Al-Baha Summer activities. The tour included the festival's facilities and its organizational and service preparations, which include the largest dome in the southern regions with a diameter exceeding 40 meters and an area exceeding 1,300 square meters, along with 50 indoor booths allocated for exhibitors, government and private entities, and 10 outdoor booths for seasonal products and manufacturing industries. Dr. Al-Sawat also inspected the "Maraba" project, one of the temporary investment projects under the Al-Baha Region Municipality, located near Raghdan Park on an area exceeding 37,000 square meters, featuring open seating areas, restaurants and cafés, handicraft workshops, and murals inspired by the heritage of Al-Baha Region, contributing to enriching visitors' experience during the summer season. The tour also included the Festival of Productive Families and Artisans, organized by the Social Development Bank as part of Al-Baha Summer 2026 activities, attended by the bank's director, Sharifah Al-Ghamdi, where he reviewed the participation of productive families and artisans, exceeding 80 booths distributed across several targeted governorates, including 15 booths in Baljurashi Governorate and 8 booths in Al-Mandaq Governorate, within the framework of supporting small projects and empowering artisans and productive families to market their products. During the tour, the Mayor of Al-Baha Region launched the "Safe Food in Every Destination" initiative, which aims to raise awareness of food safety requirements, educate food cart operators on health regulations and mechanisms for preserving and storing food, thereby enhancing visitor safety and improving the quality of services provided at Al-Baha Summer 2026 event sites. // End // 22:37 T M 0191
