Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Sawat, Secretary of Al-Baha Region and Chairman of the Executive Committee for Al-Baha Summer, reviewed the latest preparations for the 18th International Honey Festival, set to launch within the Al-Baha Summer 2026 activities under the generous patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Hussam bin Saud, Governor of Al-Baha Region, from July 26 to August 9, 2026.

During the tour, he inspected the festival's facilities and its organizational and service preparations, which include the largest dome in the southern regions with a diameter of over 40 meters and an area exceeding 1,300 square meters, along with 50 indoor pavilions for exhibitors, government and private entities, and 10 outdoor pavilions for seasonal products and manufacturing industries.

He also inspected the Marba' project, one of the temporary investment projects under the Al-Baha Municipality, located near Raghadan Park on an area exceeding 37,000 square meters. It features integrated infrastructure, electrical services, a high-quality sound system covering the entire site, modern lighting, open seating areas, restaurants, cafes, handicraft workshops, and murals inspired by the heritage of Al-Baha region, enhancing the visitor experience during the summer season.

The tour also included the Productive Families and Craftsmen Festival organized by the Social Development Bank within the Al-Baha Summer 2026 activities, accompanied by the bank's director, Sharifa Al-Ghamdi. He reviewed the participation of productive families and craftsmen. The festival features over 80 kiosks distributed across targeted governorates, including 15 kiosks in Baljurashi Governorate and 8 kiosks in Al-Mandaq Governorate.

During the tour, Dr. Al-Sawat launched the 'Safe Food in Every Destination' initiative, which aims to raise awareness of food safety requirements and educate food truck operators on health regulations and food preservation and storage mechanisms to enhance visitor safety during Al-Baha Summer 2026 activities.
