The Theater and Performing Arts Commission continues to implement the in-person workshop on building theatrical performance as part of the "From Idea to Stage" program, which launched in Riyadh on Sunday, June 28, 2026, and continues until July 23, 2026.
The commission explained that the workshop focuses on the fundamentals of building a theatrical performance, starting from preparing the actor and developing his presence, through developing performance and communication skills, dealing with texts and characters, to building the theatrical scene and teamwork, thus contributing to enhancing the participants' creative tools.
The commission added that participants undergo various practical training exercises including improvisation, physical and vocal expression, developing imagination, working with theatrical masks, as well as exploring visual and auditory elements that contribute to forming the theatrical performance, in an experience that allows them to apply training concepts in an environment simulating the reality of theatrical work.
In the same context, the workshop contributes to developing participants' performance projects and enhancing their understanding of character building and integration between performance and directing, supporting their readiness to present integrated theatrical performances, as part of the commission's efforts to develop practitioners and support the growth of competencies in the theater sector.
