Consultant and Professor of Cardiology and Arterial Catheterization Dr. Khaled Al-Nimr explained that dizziness in most cases does not originate from the heart, indicating that its source is usually related to the inner ear, nerves, or brain, depending on the nature of the case and accompanying symptoms.

Al-Nimr emphasized that the presence of dizziness alone does not necessarily indicate a heart problem, but its association with certain warning signs may make it an indicator requiring immediate medical intervention, especially when linked to symptoms affecting the circulatory system or indicating an irregular heartbeat.

Al-Nimr revealed that the symptoms that may make dizziness cardiac-related include five main signs:

• Chest pain • Palpitations • Shortness of breath • Sudden fainting • Cold sweat

He stressed that the combination of dizziness with any of these signs requires immediate evaluation and not to be taken lightly, calling to avoid linking all cases of dizziness directly to the heart, with the need to pay attention to accompanying symptoms, as accurately determining the cause contributes to rapid handling of the case and directing it to the appropriate medical path.
