Nutrition and Food Consultant Dr. Suha Abdel Gawad said that high temperature is the main factor in the growth of bacteria that cause food poisoning.

She added during an interview with Al-Ekhbariya channel that the so-called thermal danger zone ranges between 5–60 degrees Celsius, where some types of bacteria double every 20–30 minutes.

Follow the story: 'Meteorology': Riyadh and Medina are the hottest at 46 degrees Celsius, and Abha is the lowest.

Abdel Gawad pointed out that this increases the likelihood of food spoilage even if no obvious signs appear on it.
