The Dairy Veterinary Council in Riyadh discussed the latest epidemiological developments of foot-and-mouth disease and avian influenza in cattle. In its first meeting of 2026, the council examined disease control measures to enhance biosecurity in the livestock sector.

The meeting, organized by the National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plant Pests and Animal Diseases (Waqa'), reviewed the results of a field survey of dairy projects and the progress of vaccination campaigns.
