Rheumatism Association Launches Mobile Clinic in Asir
The Rheumatism Association launched the first phase of the mobile clinic for early detection of rheumatism diseases in the Asir region, targeting all segments of society, both genders, elderly and children, by providing an integrated package of free services, including accurate diagnosis, clinical examination, and laboratory tests, with the participation of a group of consultants and health practitioners in the region, along with an awareness and educational corner aimed at guiding visitors and raising awareness about rheumatism diseases and their symptoms. The campaign continues from July 15 to 26, covering in its first phase the cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, and Al-Namas, and will later extend to all regions of the Kingdom. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association, Professor Dr. Muhammad bin Ahmed Hamza Omaira, stressed the great importance of this step from a medical and therapeutic perspective, saying: "Early detection of rheumatism diseases represents the cornerstone in protecting patients from joint deformities and permanent motor disabilities, especially in children, as these diseases may affect their growth and physical future." Omaira explained that the participation of a group of specialized consultants in this campaign ensures accurate clinical diagnosis and directs patients to early treatment protocols that directly contribute to limiting the progression of the disease and improving the quality of life of patients. For his part, the supervisor of the mobile clinic, Salem Al-Rudhain, reviewed the administrative and organizational aspects of the clinic, stating that the association has prepared an integrated operational plan to overcome geographical and logistical challenges, allowing the mobile clinic to reach beneficiaries in Abha, Khamis Mushait, and Al-Namas easily and conveniently. He added that the clinics have been equipped with all necessary medical and technical supplies, along with coordination of the schedules of medical and administrative staff to ensure smooth flow of beneficiaries and provide a comfortable and organized diagnostic experience that starts with reception and triage, passes through laboratory tests, and ends with awareness and guidance through the corner accompanying the clinic. < Previous PageNext Page >
