RIYADH — The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) cautioned that suddenly halting certain medications could provoke withdrawal symptoms in patients whose systems have adapted to extended therapy.

Proper management of medication regimens is crucial to prevent adverse effects and ensure treatment efficacy.

The authority urged patients to consult a physician before discontinuing any prescribed medication, noting that some drugs require gradual dose reduction under medical supervision.
