Tabuk Health Cluster Ends Suffering of Patient with Lipoma That Lasted More Than 15 Years
Tabuk Health Cluster ended the suffering of a patient in her twenties who had been suffering from a large lipoma in the back area for more than 15 years, after the success of the general surgery team at Haql General Hospital in completely removing the tumor during a successful surgical operation. The cluster explained that the patient visited the general surgery clinic at Haql General Hospital, where she underwent clinical examination, laboratory tests, and CT scan that showed a lipoma measuring approximately 30 × 20 cm, extending from the subcutaneous tissues to the depth of the back muscles. It stated that the medical team performed the surgery under general anesthesia and successfully removed the entire tumor, and the patient’s health condition is stable as she continues to receive necessary medical care until full recovery.
Tabuk Health Cluster confirmed that the success of performing such specialized operations at Haql General Hospital reflects the development of surgical services provided and helps reduce the need to transfer patients to referral hospitals, enabling them to receive specialized healthcare near their places of residence, thereby enhancing the quality and efficiency of health services provided to beneficiaries.
