The branch of the National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plant Pests and Animal Diseases (Waqaa) in Najran region launched yesterday a campaign to vaccinate pets against rabies.

The three-day campaign is part of the branch's efforts to enhance the animal health system and reduce the spread of rabies, in order to protect animal health and community safety. The center's branch explained that reception of breeders and beneficiaries at vaccination sites will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM throughout the campaign days, calling on pet owners to take advantage of the free vaccination service and to bring their animals to approved vaccination sites, stressing the continuation of preventive and awareness campaigns on a regular basis, with the aim of raising health awareness, promoting the principle of prevention, and protecting livestock and public health in the region.
