The branch of the National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plant Pests and Animal Diseases (Waqaa) in the Riyadh region has launched a field campaign to vaccinate pets against rabies, lasting until Thursday, July 23, 2026.

The campaign is part of the branch's efforts to enhance the animal health system and reduce the spread of zoonotic diseases, preserving the safety of the community and livestock in the region.

The branch of the center explained that pet owners will be received at approved vaccination sites daily from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM throughout the campaign, stressing that the vaccination service is completely free, and calling on all breeders to benefit from it and bring their animals to the designated sites.

The Waqaa branch in Riyadh confirmed that preventive and awareness campaigns will continue periodically, aiming to raise the level of community health awareness, enhance prevention culture, and protect public health in the region.
