The concept of luck revolves around one's share of goodness, favor, happiness, wealth, and good fortune.

Luck has a glamour in people's perceptions that almost borders on magic! Hence, charlatans exploit it to attract fools and delude them into summoning luck and fortune! To the extent that some wear gemstone rings under the pretext of bringing luck and success!

Astonishingly, some people expect that a pleasant coincidence is luck! While pleasant coincidences may have unhappy endings, so is that luck or misery?!

Although people label the miserable among them as unlucky or ill-fated, perhaps one is lucky in some aspect of worldly life but has not attained their full share in another aspect!

What people see as luck might actually be a burden on a person, just as the people of Qarun wished: "Oh, would that we had the like of what Qarun has been given! Indeed, he is one of great fortune." They limited luck to the wealth that God had given him to test him, and here the difference in people's own views of wealth emerges, as it transforms from luck to a curse, which prompted his people to mock him, saying that God does not love the exultant. Exultance in the verse means arrogance, not joy.

God distributes fortunes to His servants in this world as a test, while in the Hereafter they are distributed as a reward. So, what one attains in this world is actually an exam in which God tests how one deals with it, and the result in the Hereafter is the reward, which is the true fortune.

The concept of luck is often wronged when one faces life's obstacles. This defeat must be accompanied by patience. "But none is granted it except those who are patient, and none is granted it except the possessor of great fortune."

Luck here means patience, in a strange paradox hidden from many people who believe that luck is the facilitation of matters and their attainment without effort, not through patience and hard work!

When God grants us the appropriate opportunity for our capabilities, we should have the courage to seize it and the wisdom to deal with it, because the positive outcome is luck.
