I will not delve into the philosophy of love and its degrees. The lowest degree of love is 'hawa' (passion), and the highest is 'hiyam' (infatuation), but I am with the middle one: 'ishq' (ardent love), and I prefer 'ishra' (companionship). Companionship founded on affection that binds the spouses, filling their lives with happiness and joy, and mercy that rises above personal interests and selfish desires. Companionship is the healing remedy for emotional dryness between people, especially between spouses.

There are many couples who wish to be a model of an exceptional marital relationship in their family circle, but they fail; the reason is that the ground they stand on is not solid. Love in our present time seems more available than any time before, with the spread of dating apps and social media. This is not love; this is a human farce, a shredding of emotions, and playing with hearts.

The word 'love' and its derivatives (such as 'ahabba', 'yuhibbu', 'yuhibbunahum') appear in the Holy Quran 83 times in various forms. The connotations of these words in the verses are diverse. This is true love. {And do good; indeed, Allah loves the doers of good} (Al-Baqara 195), {And Allah loves those who are constantly purifying themselves} (Al-Baqara 222), {Yes, whoever fulfills his commitment and fears Allah - then indeed, Allah loves the righteous} (Aal-e-Imran 76).

True love is a profound feeling of connection and mutual responsibility. It transcends emotional attraction and temporary admiration to a stage of emotional maturity and absolute acceptance, where each party appreciates the other as they are without trying to change them. It is said that love is a feeling of attraction and admiration towards a person; it may be seen as mutual chemistry between two people.

True love is a deep emotional and psychological bond based on mutual respect, trust, and lasting commitment. A heart without sincere love appears like a deserted island with no life, and love is the language of the whole world, the common language among people in this vast universe.

Love is mentioned in the Holy Quran as a fundamental pillar in the family structure, whether in establishing the relationship between spouses or as a basic bond in the relationship of parents with their children and children with their parents. Love in Islam is the foundation of faith and the pinnacle of heartfelt worship. There is what is called emotional attachment, where a person depends on the other side to feel safe or valued, and this is not love; it is love of interest that ends when the interest ends. Perhaps money is the driver of emotional attachment. I have absolutely no doubt that love is the nerve of life, not money as is commonly known among people. Money is important in a person's life; it meets human needs and aspirations, but it does not meet the needs of the self.

Love before money is the title of a person who fully respects himself. Love is the love of 'Abla and 'Antara, and Kathir 'Azza, and Jamil Buthaina. In my personal opinion, respect is above everything, even above love. Without respect, I wonder how a wife can accept a gold necklace or diamond bracelets in return for giving up her self-respect in front of her husband who sees money above love. (Respect is above everything, above friendship, above kinship, and above love as well) - Gibran Khalil Gibran.

True love among people builds bridges of understanding between hearts, not just fake feelings and embellished words.
