SPA - Riyadh:

The joint field campaigns to monitor and apprehend violators of residency, labor, and border security regulations, conducted across all regions of the Kingdom from 17 to 23 Muharram 1448 AH (corresponding to July 2 to 8, 2026), yielded the following results:

First: The total number of violators apprehended in the joint security field campaigns across all regions of the Kingdom reached 15,430, including 7,913 violators of the residency system, 4,037 violators of the border security system, and 3,480 violators of the labor system.

Second: The total number of individuals apprehended while attempting to cross the border into the Kingdom was 1,542, of whom 46% were Yemeni nationals, 53% were Ethiopian nationals, and 1% were of other nationalities. Additionally, 30 individuals were caught attempting to cross the border out of the Kingdom illegally.

Third: 27 individuals involved in transporting, harboring, employing, and covering up for violators of residency, labor, and border security regulations were arrested.

Fourth: The total number of violators currently undergoing legal procedures is 29,286, including 27,127 men and 2,159 women.

Fifth: 17,353 violators were referred to their diplomatic missions to obtain travel documents, 5,438 violators were referred to complete their travel bookings, and 11,800 violators were deported.

The Ministry of Interior emphasized that anyone who facilitates the entry of border security violators into the Kingdom, transports them within the country, provides shelter, or offers any assistance or service in any form will face penalties including up to 15 years in prison, a fine of up to one million riyals, confiscation of the transportation means and the shelter used, in addition to public defamation. It clarified that this crime is considered a major offense warranting detention and is a crime against honor and integrity. It urged reporting any violations to the numbers 911 in Mecca, Medina, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province regions, and 999 and 996 in other regions of the Kingdom.
