Al-Wedad Charitable Association signed a strategic cooperation memorandum with 'Awqaf Al-Wedad for Orphan Care', aiming to enhance financial sustainability and expand the scope of quality services provided to orphans of unknown parentage in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The agreement was signed by the Acting CEO of Al-Wedad Association, Mr. Azzam Al-Ghamdi, and the CEO of the Endowment, Engineer Mohammed Al-Sharif.

The entity 'Awqaf Al-Wedad for Orphan Care' was established on February 3, 2026, as a charitable endowment entity with independent financial capacity and a special governance framework, serving as the association's sustainable investment arm.

The memorandum of cooperation extends for 18 months and provides a flexible regulatory framework through which the association offers support to the endowment during the establishment phase via support services and financial resource development services, without financial compensation, in an integrated framework that enhances the endowment's launch.

Through its investment assets, the endowment aims to secure long-term financial resources to support the association's programs, with full commitment to the 'donor's condition' that restricts the disbursement of endowment revenues exclusively to Al-Wedad Charitable Association, ensuring that support is directed to those entitled and covering the increasing needs of beneficiaries.
