The Special Forces for Environmental Security detained a resident violating the environmental law, a Sudanese national, for committing the violation of camping without a license in the Imam Faisal bin Turki Royal Reserve, and legal procedures were applied against him.

The forces explained that "the penalty for the violation of camping in forests or national parks without a license is a fine of up to (3,000) riyals," urging reporting of any cases representing an assault on the environment or wildlife by calling (911) in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and (999) and (996) in the rest of the Kingdom's regions, and all reports will be treated with complete confidentiality without any liability on the reporter.
