King Faisal University Launches Fourth Edition of Its Research Enrichment Program
King Faisal University, represented by the Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, launched the activities of the Mawhiba Research Enrichment Program 2026 in its fourth edition, in partnership with the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity 'Mawhiba', at the College of Agricultural Sciences and Food, with the program continuing until July 30, 2026.
The launch of the program comes as an extension of the university's efforts to nurture gifted female students, develop their scientific and research capabilities, and consolidate a culture of scientific research and innovation, by providing a stimulating educational and research environment that contributes to refining the participants' skills and equipping them with advanced scientific expertise.
The program offers an integrated training and research experience, introducing participants to the basics and ethics of scientific research, concepts of intellectual property, alongside developing their technical and research skills, training in the use of scientific laboratories, adherence to laboratory safety procedures, and conducting experiments according to best scientific practices. The program also includes practical and field training within the university's laboratories, under the supervision of a select group of researchers and academics, allowing participants to go through the stages of scientific research from designing and executing experiments, collecting and analyzing data, to drawing conclusions, writing scientific reports and research summaries, while encouraging them to innovate qualitative research ideas in scientific and technical fields.
The program director, Dr. Fatima bint Mohammed Al-Issa, stated that the program is keen to enable participants to undergo a qualitative research experience that combines theoretical knowledge and practical application, and contributes to developing their scientific and leadership skills, thereby enhancing their presence in the fields of research and innovation and preparing them for future competition.
