Cairo, Safar 07, 1448 AH corresponding to July 21, 2026, SPA – The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Nabil Fahmy, affirmed his full solidarity and support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in confronting anything that would harm its security, stability, or sovereignty, in light of statements issued by the so-called military spokesman of the terrorist Houthi militia, which included false accusations and threats directed at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Secretary-General, in a statement, considered these statements a serious and unacceptable escalation that would inflame tension in the region and undermine efforts aimed at de-escalation and enhancing security and stability. The Secretary-General of the League called on the Houthi militia to cease its escalatory rhetoric, and refrain from any actions or statements that would increase tension, stressing that prioritizing the language of dialogue and commitment to regional and international efforts aimed at reaching a comprehensive political settlement for the Yemeni crisis remains the only way to achieve security and stability in Yemen and the region. The Secretary-General reiterated that the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the integrity of its territory are an integral part of the Arab national security system, renewing the Arab League’s support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its national security and preserve the integrity of its territory, in accordance with the provisions of international law and the United Nations Charter. // End // 22:28 t.m. 0227
