Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy affirmed his full solidarity and support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in confronting anything that may affect its security, stability, or sovereignty, following the statements issued by the so-called military spokesman of the Houthi militia, which included baseless accusations and threats directed at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In a statement, the Secretary-General considered that these statements represent a dangerous and unacceptable escalation that could fuel tensions in the region and undermine efforts aimed at de-escalation and promoting security and stability. The Secretary-General of the League called on the Houthi militia to cease its escalatory rhetoric and refrain from any actions or statements that would increase tensions, stressing that prioritizing dialogue and commitment to regional and international efforts to reach a comprehensive political settlement to the Yemeni crisis remains the only way to achieve security and stability in Yemen and the region.

The Secretary-General reaffirmed that the security and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are an integral part of the Arab national security system, reiterating the Arab League's support for all legitimate measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its national security and preserve its territorial integrity, in accordance with the provisions of international law and the United Nations Charter.
