Muslim World League Condemns Houthi Militia Statements, Affirms Solidarity with Kingdom
In a statement issued by the General Secretariat of the Muslim World League, the Secretary-General and President of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Abdulkarim Al-Issa, condemned the allegations made by the so-called military spokesperson of this terrorist militia, which has brought nothing to Yemen but death and destruction, making the Yemeni people, with their resources, stability, and means of living, the primary victims of its crimes, violations, obstinacy, and barbaric interventions in regional conflicts, serving its sectarian agendas and narrow political goals. The statement referred to the assaults committed by the militia against the Yemeni people and the targeting of infrastructure, including civilian airports, oil export ports, government facilities, and commercial ships in the Red Sea.
Sheikh Al-Issa affirmed that the Yemeni people, under the care of the Islamic world and the international community, recognize that these allegations are nothing but a desperate attempt by this terrorist group to divert attention from its crimes, cover up its crises, and evade responsibility for the catastrophic situation it has brought upon the Yemeni people, especially in areas under its control, as a result of its crimes, violations, mismanagement, and its domination over the will and resources of the Yemeni people.
Sheikh Al-Issa emphasized that these baseless allegations are contradicted by reality and refuted by established facts, which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has pointed out in part, while condemning the statements made by the so-called military spokesperson of the Houthi terrorist militia. It affirmed that it has worked over the past years, in cooperation with the legitimate Yemeni government, to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people through the continuation of development projects, supporting the budget of the Yemeni government, and providing the necessary oil derivatives to operate electricity stations, alongside its ongoing support for international efforts aimed at achieving peace in Yemen. This is the sincere and steadfast approach that the Kingdom has maintained in standing by the Yemeni people, as recognized by the countries of the Islamic world, international organizations, and the entire international community.
