Cultural / Eastern Province Governor Sponsors 'Farhat Kharīj' Ceremony for Beneficiaries of 'Bina' Association for Orphan Care in the Region

Dammam, 22 Muharram 1448 AH (July 7, 2026) – SPA – Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, a graduation ceremony was held today at the Emirate for 578 orphan students and widows benefiting from programs of the Bina Association for Orphan Care in the region, including bachelor's, diploma, and high school levels, the 'Empowerment of Mothers' program, and the graduate qualification and employment program 'Tadmin'. His Highness emphasized that the wise leadership's care and attention to orphans embodies the blessed country's approach to empowering orphans, enhancing their quality of life, and building their future. He stressed the importance of continuing to support educational and rehabilitation initiatives and programs that contribute to building their capabilities and enabling them to complete their academic and professional journey, thereby enhancing their contribution to national development and aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. He congratulated his sons and daughters, the graduates, and wished them success in their future journey, hoping they become effective contributors to serving their nation and society. For his part, Dr. Abdullah Al-Khalidi, CEO of the Bina Association for Orphan Care in the region, expressed his gratitude to the Governor of the Eastern Province for sponsoring the ceremony and his continuous support for the association's work. He also thanked His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association, and board members for their support in empowering orphans and building their future. Dr. Al-Khalidi stated that graduating 578 sons and daughters of the association and its beneficiaries reflects the fruit of years of support, care, and empowerment. He noted that there are 336 high school graduates, 139 university graduates, 54 mothers benefiting from the 'Empowerment of Orphans' Mothers' program' (ninth batch) in partnership with Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, in addition to 20 beneficiaries who have joined the labor market through the graduate qualification and employment program 'Tadmin'. Al-Khalidi explained that university graduates included 84 diploma graduates and 53 bachelor's degree graduates, with 23 graduates achieving honors and academic excellence in fields such as technology, cybersecurity, engineering, applied technologies, health, and medical sciences, aligned with labor market needs. Additionally, the ninth batch of mothers benefiting from the 'Empowerment of Orphans' Mothers' program' graduated in partnership with Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, which aims to develop mothers' skills in social, educational, economic, and professional fields to support them in raising their children and effectively monitoring their academic achievement. The program spans 5 months, with each participant receiving 250 training hours. He emphasized that family empowerment is the cornerstone for empowering children and that investing in human development is the most important and sustainable investment. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Governor of the Eastern Province congratulated students who received educational grants in specialized fields funded by the association, and honored the success partners, supporters of educational and training programs, and academic institutions.
