Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy and Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, the Ministry yesterday celebrated the graduation of scholarship recipients from the industrial sector under the 'Wa'ed' track of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program, as part of the Ministry's ongoing efforts to empower national talents and enhance the alignment of scholarship outcomes with the needs of the industry and mining sectors, in the presence of His Excellency Minister of Education Mr. Yusuf bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan.

The ceremony honored 69 male and female graduates who completed employment-beginning scholarship programs, in addition to honoring Sair and Marafiq companies for their partnership with the Ministries of Industry and Mineral Resources and Education in implementing these qualitative programs, which aim to qualify national talents in promising industrial and technical specializations and enable them to make an impact in the future of industry and mining.

During the ceremony, the Ministry signed 8 new agreements with several national companies to provide 221 job opportunities through the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program (Wa'ed track), contributing to attracting and qualifying national talents, and enhancing private sector participation in developing human capabilities, thereby raising the efficiency of the industry and mining sectors.

The companies with which these agreements were signed included Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma'aden), Schneider Electric, Saudi Snack Foods Limited (PepsiCo), Packaging Products Company, in addition to Cummins Saudi Arabia Limited, Medical Progress Company, Mana Water Company, and Qiyas for Manufacturing.

Wa'ed is one of the qualitative tracks that enhance alignment between education outputs and labor market needs, and it is an extension of the strategic partnership between the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Education, and the private sector to prepare qualified national cadres possessing the necessary skills and knowledge to keep pace with industrial transformations and achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The Ministry's celebration of graduates of the Wa'ed track comes as a confirmation of its commitment to investing in human capacity development and enhancing partnership with the private sector, contributing to preparing young national talents to lead the future of the industry and mining sectors.
