The Al-Ahsa Municipality removed 24 illegal billboards during the first week of its regulatory campaign, as part of a plan targeting the removal of 160 non-compliant billboards to improve the urban landscape and reduce visual distortion in the governorate.

Official spokesperson for Al-Ahsa Municipality, Khaled Bouwashl, explained that the campaign aims to develop the advertising sector and raise the level of compliance with regulations and instructions, adding that field operations are not limited to removing violations but also seek to enhance the commitment of facility owners and investors to approved standards.

Bouwashl pointed out the impact of billboard regulation on highlighting the urban character of Al-Ahsa Governorate, stating that these efforts align with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 aimed at improving quality of life and developing city infrastructure.

Bouwashl noted that there are precise regulatory instructions governing the design and installation of billboards on commercial facades to ensure uniform visual standards, affirming that the municipality will continue its monitoring and awareness campaigns in partnership with the private sector to enhance the quality of the urban landscape.
