Global College of Aviation Sciences Celebrates Graduation of 1,611 Graduates under the Patronage of the Minister of Education
Under the patronage of Minister of Education Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan, the graduation ceremony for the 2025-2026 training year cohort was held last night at the Global Technical College of Aviation Sciences in Riyadh, with 1,611 graduates in aircraft engineering and maintenance specializations.
Organizers noted that this cohort saw the graduation of the first group of female trainees in aircraft engineering and maintenance, comprising 48 female graduates, a step reflecting the growing participation of Saudi women in advanced technical specializations and enhancing their presence in the aviation sector.
Successes in Employment and Support for the Kingdom’s Vision
CEO of Colleges of Excellence, Engineer Ayman bin Mustafa Al Abdullah, stated that the college achieved an employment rate of 88% within six months of graduation, confirming the alignment of its training programs with labor market needs and the quality of its outputs. He added that since its establishment in 2014, the college has graduated over 10,000 graduates.
Engineer Al Abdullah praised the role of government and military entities and aviation companies in supporting training and providing job opportunities, emphasizing that partnership with the sector enhances the readiness of national competencies to contribute to the development of the aviation sector and achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
Women’s Empowerment and Partnership with the Sector
For his part, Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Culture at Riyadh Air, Nahar Al-Juhani, highlighted the importance of integration between training institutions and sector companies in preparing national competencies, noting that Riyadh Air sponsored 27 female trainees in the first women’s cohort in aircraft engineering and maintenance.
Al-Juhani added that this sponsorship embodies Riyadh Air’s commitment to investing in national talents and supporting the empowerment of Saudi women in specialized technical professions, building sustainable career paths that meet the needs of the aviation sector and contribute to its future growth.
Specialized Training Programs and Sector Integration
In the same context, the college offers specialized training programs including aircraft structures, mechanics, avionics, and unmanned aircraft maintenance, within an environment combining theoretical instruction and practical application, contributing to the preparation of national technical competencies.
It is noteworthy that the ceremony embodies the fruit of integration between the training system and aviation sector partners, and the role of this cooperation in developing human capabilities, enhancing the readiness of national competencies, and strengthening the Kingdom's competitiveness in the aviation sector and related industries.
