The coastal patrols of the Border Guard in Jeddah Governorate, Mecca Region, caught a citizen violating the Safety and Security Regulations for Practitioners of Maritime Activities in the Kingdom's maritime areas; for fishing without a permit and using prohibited tools. Legal measures were taken against him in coordination with the relevant authorities.

The Border Guard called on everyone to adhere to the regulations and instructions related to the protection of living aquatic resources and to report any cases of assault on the environment or wildlife by calling 911 in the regions of Mecca, Medina, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and 994 in the rest of the Kingdom, stressing that all reports will be handled with complete confidentiality without any liability on the reporter.
