Tabuk Border Guards Arrest Violator of Maritime Safety Regulations in Al-Wajh Governorate
The coastal patrols of the Border Guards in Al-Wajh Governorate, Tabuk Region, arrested a citizen who violated the safety and security regulations for marine activities in the maritime areas of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, according to what was announced by the competent authorities today, Monday.
The Border Guards explained that the violation consisted of fishing without an official permit, in addition to using prohibited fishing tools, noting that legal procedures were taken against the violator in coordination with the relevant authorities.
In the same context, the Border Guards called on all citizens and residents to abide by the regulations and instructions related to the protection of living aquatic resources, and to report any violations or attacks on the environment or wildlife.
The competent authorities added that reports can be submitted via phone number (911) in the regions of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or via phone number (994) in the rest of the Kingdom's regions, stressing the confidentiality of all reports and that the reporter bears no responsibility.
