Various types of wild plants are widespread in Madinah, most notably Al-Samar, Al-Sarh, Al-Athl, Al-Shih, Al-Arfaj, Al-Jumayr, Al-Tunab, Al-Izkhir, Al-Awsaj, Al-Moringa al-Arabiya (Moringa arabica), Al-Ghaf al-Khaliji (Gulf Ghaf), and Al-Teen (fig), which are components of the natural vegetation cover and contribute to providing habitats for wildlife, reducing soil erosion, and improving environmental quality.
