The Children's Book Club at King Abdulaziz Public Library launched the 'Enriching Libraries and Learning Centers with Books' service, an initiative aimed at supporting nurseries, schools, and educational centers with selected collections of books, contributing to building stimulating educational environments and enhancing reading culture among children and adolescents across different age groups.

The service offers diverse reading collections carefully chosen to suit all educational stages, from nurseries and kindergarten through primary and intermediate levels up to secondary school, with a focus on content quality, age-appropriateness, and enrichment of cognitive and cultural aspects.

Sundus Al-Sharif, Director General of the Children's Department, affirmed that the launch of this service extends the role of the Children's Book Club in spreading knowledge, instilling a reading culture, and strengthening the presence of books in educational environments, thereby contributing to the development of children's and adolescents' skills and motivating them to learn and discover.

Al-Sharif added that the service relies on selecting books according to precise educational and cultural standards to ensure the provision of quality content that meets the needs of each age group, helps educational institutions provide an attractive reading environment that supports the educational process, and contributes to building the child's personality and developing their intellectual and linguistic skills. She indicated that this initiative is part of a series of programs and initiatives implemented by the Children's Department, aimed at supporting educational institutions, enhancing community partnerships, and consolidating the status of the book as an essential tool for building knowledge and creating awareness. She concluded her statement by emphasizing that the Children's Department continues to develop its cultural and educational initiatives in line with the targets of Saudi Vision 2030 in developing human capabilities, improving quality of life, and building a reading generation that possesses knowledge and believes in the value of continuous learning, creativity, and innovation.
