The General Directorate of Civil Defense clarified, on Wednesday, the safe use methods for gas in homes and facilities, stressing the importance of adhering to safety procedures to reduce the risks of leaks that threaten lives and property.

The Directorate pointed out the need to choose a safe location for the gas cylinder, ensure the integrity of the installations, close the gas source when leaving the kitchen, in addition to conducting periodic checks of ovens and stoves, and installing gas leak detectors.

Safety instructions and emergency contact

The Directorate also emphasized the importance of following the instructions and guidelines announced through media and social media platforms to prevent accidents related to gas leaks.

In the same context, the General Directorate of Civil Defense called for calling 911 in the regions of Mecca, Medina, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 998 in the rest of the Kingdom's regions in case of any emergency.
