Craft Heritage Flourishes in Madinah Date Season
Craft heritage shines in the Madinah Date Season through three pavilions dedicated to artisans and productive families, offering handmade crafts and products inspired by the local environment, within the framework of supporting and preserving traditional crafts.
It gives productive families a wider opportunity to market their products.
The season, which runs until August 2, sees the participation of artisans who give live demonstrations of traditional working methods, thus enhancing the highlighting of national skills and giving productive families a wider opportunity to market their products and enrich the visitors' experience.
The pavilions provide an interactive experience for visitors by showcasing the stages of making handmade products using natural materials, most notably palm fronds, in addition to offering products that express the cultural identity of Madinah and highlight its authenticity.
These events come within the programs of the Madinah Date Season aimed at raising the economic and cultural value of the date sector, reviving local heritage through activities that combine tradition and marketing, and introducing traditional crafts linked to the cultural identity of the region.
