His Highness the Governor of the Eastern Province, Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, sponsored at the Emirate's Diwan the ceremony honoring outstanding beekeepers and participating entities in the "Mangrove Honey" initiative in its fifth season, organized by the Eastern Province Branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture. His Highness affirmed that the support and attention given to the agricultural and environmental sectors by the wise leadership - may God support them - have contributed to enhancing qualitative initiatives that combine environmental preservation and natural resource development. His Highness pointed out the importance of continuing efforts that support the agricultural sector, preserve environmental diversity, and achieve sustainable utilization of the natural resources that distinguish the region. The Director General of the Eastern Province Branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Engineer Fahd bin Ahmed Al-Hamzi, delivered a speech in which he affirmed that this honoring is an extension of the branch's and its affiliated entities' efforts in developing the agricultural and environmental sectors, supporting beekeepers, and adopting modern technologies, which contributes to raising productivity, enhancing food security, and sustaining natural resources, in line with the goals of the 'Saudi Green' and 'Middle East Green' initiatives launched by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God protect him – through expanding the cultivation of mangrove, Shoura, and Qurm trees on the Arabian Gulf coasts, and preserving coastal ecosystems.
