The Eastern Province Municipality, represented by the Dhahran Municipality, continues to carry out its regulatory and field operations to enhance compliance with the regulations and instructions governing advertisements. A recent field campaign conducted by the municipality resulted in the removal of 930 violative advertising posters from several locations, as part of its ongoing efforts to address visual distortion and preserve the urban appearance.

The campaign included the removal of violative posters and advertisements affixed in non-designated areas, such as lampposts, walls, public facilities, and several other locations, due to the visual distortion they cause, as well as their violation of the regulations and rules governing advertisements.

The Director General of the General Administration of Media and Official Spokesperson for the Eastern Province Municipality, Faisal bin Saeed Al-Zahrani, stated that these efforts are part of an ongoing field plan aimed at detecting and immediately addressing advertising violations. This contributes to improving the urban landscape, elevating the general appearance, and enhancing the quality of life by removing irregular elements that affect the aesthetics of cities and neighborhoods.

Al-Zahrani added that the field teams of Dhahran Municipality continue to carry out their regulatory tours on an ongoing basis to monitor various types of advertising violations and take legal action against violators, with a focus on areas witnessing a high density of random posters. This curbs the recurrence of such practices and enhances the level of compliance with regulations and instructions.
