The Eastern Province Municipality, represented by the Dhahran Municipality, continues its regulatory and field works to enhance compliance with regulations and instructions governing advertisements, as a recent field campaign by the municipality resulted in the removal of 930 illegal advertisement posters from a number of sites, as part of its ongoing efforts to address visual distortion and preserve the urban appearance.
The campaign included the removal of illegal posters and advertisements installed in locations not designated for advertisements, including lighting poles, walls, public facilities, and a number of other sites, due to the distortion they cause to the public scene, in addition to their violation of the regulations and requirements governing advertisements.
The Director General of the General Administration of Media and Official Spokesman for the Eastern Province Municipality, Faisal Al-Zahrani, explained that these efforts are part of a continuous field plan aimed at detecting and immediately addressing advertising violations, contributing to improving the urban landscape, enhancing the general appearance, and improving the quality of life by removing irregular manifestations that affect the aesthetics of cities and neighborhoods.
Al-Zahrani stated that the field teams of Dhahran Municipality continue to carry out their regulatory tours on an ongoing basis to monitor various types of advertising violations and take legal action against violators, with a focus on sites witnessing a high density of random posters, in order to limit the recurrence of these practices and enhance the level of compliance with regulations and instructions.
