The Arab Republic of Egypt condemned and denounced in the strongest terms the threats targeting the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the irresponsible escalation they entail that would undermine the security and stability of the region, threaten the safety of maritime navigation, international trade, and vital waterways, constituting a flagrant violation of international law, the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, and relevant Security Council resolutions.

Egypt affirmed, in a statement by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and all Gulf Cooperation Council states, and its support for all measures taken to maintain their security, stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

Egypt stressed the importance of prioritizing political and diplomatic solutions and respecting the rules of international law, to contribute to de-escalation and maintain the security and stability of the region.
