Electronic guidance screens enhance movement flow in the Grand Mosque
The electronic guidance screens installed at the doors of the Grand Mosque and its outer courtyards have enhanced the movement flow of visitors to Mecca, by providing updated data that helps them identify the status of gates and choose the nearest available entrances.
The screens display real-time information about the status of gates and entrances, in addition to density indicators in the circumambulation area (Mataf) and the running area (Mas'a), enabling worshippers, Umrah performers, and visitors to choose the most suitable paths before entering, contributing to distributing movement across various entrances and reducing access time.
The screens also show the entrances leading to the upper floors, enhancing the utilization of the facilities' capacity and facilitating the movement of visitors inside the Grand Mosque.
Integrated awareness and guidance content
The screens provide awareness content including instructions to be followed before entry, awareness of behaviors to avoid inside the mosque, in addition to introducing the services provided such as the ritual completion service (Tahlul), the digital guide (Mutawwif), and the unified number (1966), to support the quality of the experience for pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors.
It is worth mentioning that these screens are part of the technical and guidance services system implemented by the authority, aiming to benefit from electronic solutions in crowd management, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the quality of services for the guests of the Merciful, to strengthen the readiness of the Grand Mosque to receive visitors.
