The Special Forces for Environmental Security have apprehended a citizen for violating the environmental law, after he entered protected wetlands and meadows in the Asir region with his vehicle. Legal measures have been taken against him.

The forces clarified that the penalty for entering protected wetlands and meadows with vehicles can reach (2,000) riyals. They urged reporting any cases of environmental or wildlife violations by calling (911) in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and (999) and (996) in the rest of the Kingdom's regions, emphasizing that all reports will be treated with complete confidentiality, without any liability on the reporter.
