The Special Forces for Environmental Security arrested a citizen who violated instructions and guidelines for preserving vegetation cover, after lighting a fire in undesignated areas in the Asir region.

The forces explained that statutory procedures were applied against the violator, according to the Environmental System.

The Special Forces for Environmental Security clarified that the penalty for lighting a fire in undesignated locations in forests and national parks can reach a fine of 3,000 riyals.
