Environment / 'Vegetation Cover' Offers 7 Sustainable Development Opportunities with Investment Partnerships in the Eastern Region

Riyadh, 05 Safar 1448 AH, corresponding to July 19, 2026, SPA -- The National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification has offered 7 investment opportunities in a number of national parks in the Eastern Region, as part of enhancing partnership with the private sector, supporting natural destination tourism, and contributing to achieving the goals of sustainable development and Saudi Vision 2030. The center explained that the investment opportunities aim to empower the private sector and expand its participation in implementing development projects with a sustainable environmental and economic impact; in order to develop, protect and sustain vegetation cover sites, enhance the efficiency of natural resource investment, achieving balance between economic development and preservation of natural resources, and enhancing environmental sustainability and quality of life, as well as contributing to creating added value for local communities and supporting the national economy. The offered investment opportunities include a variety of activities, most notably eco-tourism, activities and events, and services, which contribute to developing national parks and consolidating their position as attractive natural destinations for visitors from inside and outside the Kingdom. It is noteworthy that the center is working on offering long-term investment opportunities, along with seasonal opportunities; to develop vegetation cover, support various afforestation works and projects, preserve natural resources, contribute to the development of the national economy, and provide new job opportunities for citizens; in fulfillment of the goals of the Saudi Green Initiative and Saudi Vision 2030. // End // 10:03 AM Makkah Time 0032
